Local company The Vita Group Accrington (also known as Caligen Foam) recently took on the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, all in support of Accrington Stanley Community Trust. The Vita team’s fundraising efforts and commitment to giving back to their community culminated in a day full of hard work, pushing themselves to the extreme and sore legs.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is known for its demanding route, covering approximately 24 miles and summiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire – Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. Despite the steep inclines and long stretches of rocky terrain, the team powered through each peak with a shared determination to reach their fundraising goals.
“It was an amazing day, and although it was a tough challenge, everyone really pulled together,” shared one of the participants. “Knowing that our efforts were going towards supporting a local charity made it all worthwhile.”
Accrington Stanley Community Trust, the chosen charity for this fundraiser, was thrilled with the team’s efforts. The Trust provides sports, education, and health programmes to people across the Accrington area, working to improve opportunities and experiences for everyone.
“We are incredibly grateful to Vita Accrington for choosing us as their charity for this inspiring challenge,” Martin Fearon, CEO of The Trust commented. “Their dedication and hard work during the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge are a true reflection of the supportive community we’re fortunate to be part of.”
